Outrageous! Media Companies lobbying on the Trans-Pacific Partnership

Outrageous! Media Companies lobbying on the Trans-Pacific Partnership
It is outrageous that major news outlets refuse to inform the American public about the Trans-Pacific Partnership while their parent companies dispatch high-paid lobbyists to influence this proposed trade deal. News outlets should be a trusted source of information for the American people, not another corporate interest trying to profit from a major trade deal. It's time that the parent companies of major news outlets stop trying to profit from a flawed trade deal and start informing the American public.

    REVIEW SCRIPT

Hello, my name is NAME and I am calling to respectfully urge your company stop lobbying the federal government on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Your company plays an important role as a trusted source of information in our democracy. That role is endangered when your company tries to influence such a major trade deal while largely failing to report on that same trade deal through your news outlets. Please stop lobbying the federal government and ensure that your news outlets provide more coverage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
