| All public schools in Los Angeles will be closed on Tuesday because of a bomb threat telephoned to a member of the school board, the Los Angeles Police Department said. |
| Students and teachers were told to stay away from all the schools and campuses in the Los Angeles Unified School District. |
| The police were to hold a news conference soon to provide details. |
