The Coming Tetrad – the Blood Moons
QUESTION: Martin,
In reading the article below, I couldn’t help but notice the fourth blood moon (September 28, 2015) will almost coincide with the projected major turning point in your economic confidence model (October 1, 2015). Is this coincidence or does your model take into account the movement of stars, planets and moons?
Thank you for the ongoing education in cycles and the interdependence/connectedness of things.
ANSWER: No. Astronomy nor astrology are included in the model. Not that I infer they are worthless studies. Rather, I am not convinced that they are the SOURCEof events, yet may correspond to events merely as part of another cyclical force. In other words, they may be signs that correlate, but that would be another research project to see if if there is any consistent value to forecasting.
That said, this is a group of four consecutive total lunar eclipses in 2014 and 2015 – a series known as a Tetrad – four successive total ‘blood-red’ lunar eclipses each followed by six full moons. The more interesting aspect of the coming Tetrad is that the date lines up with this peak in the Economic Confidence Model 2015.75 and is off only by 2 days in advance. Indeed, NASA has confirmed that the Tetrad has only happened three times in more than 500 years – 1493, 1949, and 1967. The frequency of Tetrads is variable over time because of cyclical complexity. According to NASA, a this highly unusual ‘Tetrad’ will, indeed finish on September 28 2015. The incredible alignment has only happened a handful of times in the last two thousand years but, remarkably, on each of the last three occasions it has coincided with a globally significant religious event.
Looking at the phenomenon, over a five millennium span from 1999 BC to 3000 AD, the max number of eclipse Tetrads that can take place in any century is eight (8), which occurs this century. This is the Tetrad Season since the last time this took place was during the 9th century AD.
Looking to the heavens for signs of pending joy and doom and gloom is part of human nature. Lunar eclipses marked the fall of Constantinople in 1453 and comets are said to have marked the birth and death of kings. Julius Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March 44BC and a Comet filled the sky that was depicted on coins thereafter. There was the Star of Bethlehem that was most likely also a comet. Haley’s Comet is the only short-term object that might appear twice in an individual’s lifetime. The last occurrence was 1986 and marked the change from a Public Wave to a Private Wave in the ECM. It has varied slightly depending where the other planets are as it passes for this will affect that speed. Normally, the cycle is 75-76 years but it has varied between 84 and 79 years. It market the birth of money in China back in 240BC and may have been the comet that marked the assassination of Caesar. There are other comets that a bigger and brighter, but these return once in a 1,000 years.
What has everyone talking is the predictions of the end of the world again using this phenomenon. The King James Bible predicts: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes,” [Joel 2:31]. This seems to imply not just a Blood Moon, but also a solar eclipse as well, yet both can never happen on the same day. Lunar and solar eclipses do take place in pairs two weeks apart at Full and New Moon phases when the nodes of the Moon’s ecliptic crossing comes into alignment with the Sun.This current eclipse season sees a non-central annular eclipse following the April 15 eclipse on April 29. It is unlikely that this suggests APOCALYPSE NOW, albeit may be a sign of things to come given the convergence of our war cycle.
Of course, the visual appearance of a “Blood of the Moon” is a real phenomena as the Moon enters into the dark umbra or core of the shadow of the Earth. The redness of the Moon is simply due to the scattering of sunlight through the Earth’s atmosphere.
In truth, the Tetrad that lines up with Passover is this one in 2015 and the next one will be curiously with the peak on the major ECM Wave in 2032 followed by 2061. The differential between 2015 and 2032 is about 17.2 years or two 8.6 intervals. Between 2032 and 2061 is nearly a full Pi cycle of 31.4 years. This is a Longitudinal Wave – not Transverse and therefore it produces a pattern of repetitive cycles – not a perfectly structured wave.

The Italian astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli (1835-1910) first pointed out that Tetrads were relatively plentiful during one 300-year interval, while none occurred at all during the next 300 years. The 565-year period of the Tetrad ‘seasons’ is tied to the slowly decreasing eccentricity of Earth’s orbit. Consequently, the Tetrad period is gradually decreasing. In the distant future Tetrads will no longer be possible.
There was a Tetrad in 1493 that marked the discovery of the New World. The next coincided with the establishment of the State of Israel – after thousands of years of struggle – in 1949 and the end of World War II. This was followed by 1967 and the Six-Day Arab–Israeli War.
Therefore, I do not see where this has any specific forecasting significance. Nonetheless, it is fascinating that it correlates at this time when our own models are jumping off the charts.
