...after 9/11, President Bush, the Pentagon, and the CIA crafted a way to circumvent the protections of the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments. In what is undoubtedly the biggest constitutional revolution in our nation’s history, America’s Bill of Rights was effectively amended by presidential decree. By declaring that terrorism could now be considered as either a federal crime or an act of war, President Bush, and later President Obama, now effectively wielded the authority to ignore the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eight Amendments whenever they wanted.
