Police & Disarming
Another example of why the police should not be armed and there should be trained teams that need to be called in is the sad case of the killing of a 3-year old taken by her father in a police shootout. A domestic violence dispute erupted in Maryland where grandparents were withholding their grandchild from seeing her father. Police say the incident began in Prince George’s County home. When officers arrived, they found two adults had been shot. Police say the suspect then took his 3-year-old daughter and fled. The police officersbegan chasing the suspect who then exchanged gunfire with police. The suspect was killed in the shootout but the police found the 3-year-old girl in the car with a gunshot wound as well. She later died at the hospital. The two adults who were shot earlier at the home are the girl’s grandfather and great-grandmother.
The care showed that the police just fired randomly into the car. They were not sharp-shooters. They all seem to just unleash a hail of bullets and hope to just kill the target. There seems to be no common sense in many of these incidents. It is a reflection of the force adopted by government and the respect for civilian life.
EU Wants to Regulate Farting that they say is #2 Cause of Global Warming
Yes you read it correct. Environment Minister Hendricks wants toban cows from farting – guess you will be next. Bean farmers – you better start looking for an alternative crop. Hendricks says cows emit tons of methane gas and are nearly as detrimental to the environment such as car exhaust. Look out – there are more people than cows. Guess there will soon be a tax on farting. Then it will be a small step for mankind to extend it to sex and then breathing. Of course all in the name of global warming.
Cycle of War & Civil Unrest
QUESTION: Marty; Your work on the cycle of war is really amazing. I found it fascinating how war has popped up everywhere in 2014 and then Ferguson hits the same as in 1964 when the race riots also lined up with your model. This too may be a trend and the peak in that comes in 2017-2018?

ANSWER: A peak in domestic activity should appear in the 2017-2018 time slots but that will not be the end. It appears we will extend into 2020 before seeing any sort of a reversal of fortune. True, the American race riots began in 1964 peaked in 1968 and ended in 1971. This appears to be the standard time for such events.
German Communist Revolution 1918
Even if we look at the World War I turning point of 1914. We see the Communist Revolutions in 1917 and 1918, which were domestic events and fall into the category of civil unrest rather than international conflict. Russia goes into revolution in 1917 and then you have the German communist revolution in 1918. We should see the civil unrest side start to peak on the same time scale in 2017-2018. This is just how long this takes to get a majority for political change.
Even the fall of Communism that began with the civil uprising in China in 1989 was right on target. There is just simply stated a time and place for everything. It takes human nature a predefined amount of time to change trend. However, they will always RISE to the occasion. We will see many interesting trends emerge now starting in 2014 moving forward.
Draghi Blames Ukraine for Euroland Deflation
Those in government are just way too dangerous because whatever they see never involves themselves as a cause. Now Mario Draghi, head of the ECB, has bluntly stated that the Ukraine crisis is one of the reasons why inflation does not start in Europe. Deflation would be dangerous especially for all debtors because it makes the real payoff on debt rise, which Draghi understands. This is why the ECB chief wants to use all available means to pump billions more of euros into the market to reduce the real cost of government debt. Draghi gave no further explanations as to why suddenly the Ukraine shall be responsible for the overnight low inflation in the Eurozone or what we should now call Euroland to denote the true fantasy.
Government just cannot admit that if you earn $10 and the government is taking $6, disposable income declines and this results in deflation. Sorry, but even Keynes stated to stimulate a recession you lower taxes. The IMF proposal of raising taxes and confiscating assets in banks is simply not supporting any kind of economic recovery. This is just typical French economic madness.
