You likely know that you should be getting more sleep at night. However, Inc. recently published an infographic by hotel chain Swissotel that makes some pretty compelling arguments as to why we should also catch a few Zs during the day.

Aside from the reasons that we typically cite to justify afternoon shut-eye time (increased productivity, alertness, and memory, to name a few), you may not know that our bodies are programmed for two periods of intense sleep—one during the early morning, when we're still snoozing in bed, and the second in the early to mid-afternoon. That's why you sometimes experience an energy dip after lunch.
