NSA – Been There – Done That Before
QUESTION: The revelations of the NSA ever since your 224 year cycle turned are amazing. Is there precedent for this before in modern history?
ANSWER: History repeats because human nature never changes. After World War I there were the notorious “Palmer Raids” where the government created the great Red Scare. The U.S. Attorney general 1919 to 1921 was Alexander Mitchell Palmer (1872–1936). Palmer rounded up thousands of alleged Bolsheviks in what fueling the chaos of the period and perhaps acting as a political distraction for the economic decline 1919-1920. He was arresting anyone who disagreed with the government calling them communists. It was the “Palmer Raids” that prompted the birth of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). He was arresting people solely based upon associations who took no action nor did they even participate in any protest. He deported 536 people and the ACLU freed hundreds of people.
Then there was Joseph Raymond McCarthy (1908–1957) who was making up stuff tormenting everyone. It took the courage of a journalist Edward R. Murrow to broadcast on March 9, 1954 a TV inquiry entitled: “A Report on Senator Joseph R. McCarthy”. Murrow said of McCarthy:
His primary achievement has been in confusing the public mind, as between the internal and the external threats of Communism. We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men … We proclaim ourselves, as indeed we are, the defenders of freedom, wherever it continues to exist in the world, but we cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home. The actions of the junior Senator from Wisconsin have caused alarm and dismay amongst our allies abroad, and given considerable comfort to our enemies. And whose fault is that? Not really his. He didn’t create this situation of fear; he merely exploited it—and rather successfully.
The NSA has been doing the same thing as Palmer and McCarthy. They trump-up nonsense to justify what they are doing and we see countless members of Congress lining up to support them. This is no different than the “Palmer Raids” or McCarthism. This is much worse because even the President is involved and they seek to criminally prosecute anyone who exposes the truth. There are no journalists like Murrow today. They all are cowering in the corner.
Gold – The Week of 8-19
Gold is still poised to press a touch higher. Monday and Tuesday were daily directional changes and we achieved a high on Monday with a test of support yesterday. The next directional change is targeted for Friday where we may see the high for the week.
Technical resistance by Friday stands at 1432.55. The Daily Bullish Reversals are at 1388.50 and 1413.30 on spot. The major resistance on the weekly level stands at 1421-1425. There is a big gap after that up to 1612. Therefore, the 1421-1425 area is the key resistance and we need a weekly closing above that for gold to get anything going on the upside.
Given that the gold stocks and mining stocks are at major lows, we will be looking in the near future of issuing a special report for this sector.
As the War Cycle Turns Up – Middle East Is Going Nuts
The truth about what is going on in the Middle East is hard to figure out. Nobody really knows. The so called rebels in Syria may be conducting suicide missions using chemical weapons on themselves to get the West to invade Syria. It did work in Iraq and we seem to be following the same playbook again. The future just looks insane. The Middle East does not appear to be settling down until about 2020.
Our greatest problem is the bureaucracy wants a war. This will distract everyone from the NSA and justify what they have been doing. They need a distraction for the economic decline that is coming.
Dow Jones Lower into Friday/Monday
This week still looks to be the target for at least a temporary low. The Dow has broken the 15000 level with support beginning at the 14825-14805 level. Additional support lies at the 14718 level down to 14648. There is a gap down thereafter to 14450-14393. The major support starts at 13782 and only a weekly closing beneath this area would warn of a more sustainable correction. The first Monthly support area lies at 13920. Our technical target are illustrated above with the oscillator.
The timing models on the daily level show targets for this Friday and the Long-Term shows Monday. However, since the weekly timing targets this week, any new low into Monday would most likely leave this week as the lowest weekly closing.
Government v the People – India Reveals the Insanity
The collapse in the Indian rupee illustrates the difference in thinking between government and the people. While India’s central bank has said that it will inject 80bn rupees ($1.3bn; £806m) into the country’s banking system by buying long-term government bonds trying to stimulate and secure the economy, there is another aspect they fail to grasp – currency controls.
When a country says you cannot move money, people then want to move it even more. Currency controls have been placed even on gold. The government sees the collapse in the rupee as the result of NOT ENOUGH controls. The people see the controls as the reason to sell the rupee. This is the difference in thinking between government and the people.
Greece Will Need Another Bailout
We are at the stage of complete moronism because government cannot see that it is the entire Marxist-Keynesian centralized control that is collapsing.Greece will need new bailout, says Germany’s Schaeuble. They fail to grasp that the system need to be revised from the ground up. After the downturn begins 2015.75, then perhaps we will see major political unrest when the governments seize bank accounts of more than 100,000 euros. They see only rich bastards rather than small business and if you seize that to cover bankers trading losses again, then how does business pay employees? They will NOToutlaw proprietary trading by banks. They allow them to trade with other people’s money sharing no profits – only the losses. This is why we CANNOT deal with professional politicians. They are for sale always to the highest bidder and/or are so detached from the people they see them as the great unwashed.
Free Press Is Gone – Long Live the New Iron Curtain – Thank you Feinstein
The ramifications of what has unfolded ever since the revelations of Snowden has truly reshaped the world. For the past two years, I have been told from people working on Capitol Hill that the NSA was sucking up everything including their emails. Of course, as long as the US government can intimidate the US press, that news never appeared. It took Edward Snowden with hard facts published by the British Newspaper the Guardian in June 2013 just weeks after the 224 Year Cycle in the life of the United States turned on April 22nd, 2013 to reveal just how evil the government has become.
There is no privacy left and those who say that is ok because they are not terrorists are simply ignorant buffoons. These are the same morons who see no problem in the government collecting DNA from anyone arrested even for a parking ticket because they might be wanted for a sex crime. They do not grasp that taking DNA from one person puts on file their entire family.
Now the Groklaw news website that promised its contributors protection has shut down citing the US practice of screening emails from abroad and storing messages “enciphered or otherwise thought to contain secret meaning” for five years. The founder wrote:
“There is no way to continue doing Groklaw, not long term, which is incredibly sad. …There is now no shield from forced exposure.”
The land of the free and the home of the brave is no more and these are the people who have sold out the American Way of Life under the pretense of security, but for who – government? Dianne Feinstein would not be here if Hitler had the powers she so eagerly hands the NSA. She has disgraced everyone who has fought for liberty in the United States since the American Revolution. She is the new face of Injustice in America.
The National Security Agency’s surveillance network has the capacity to spy on 75 percent of all U.S. Internet traffic, The Wall Street Journal reports. This is now citing current and former NSA officials for the 75 percent figure, the paper reported that the agency can observe more of Americans’ online communications than officials have publicly acknowledged. These people cannot sleep at night without knowing what everyone is doing all the time. This is not about terrorism. This is their fear what happens when the social system promises collapse. That is the real issue. Rather than reform the systemBEFORE it is too late, they dig in their heels to oppress what will erupt as civil unrest in America. They know historically whatever trend emerges in Europe, moves to America from fashion to politics. Don’t forget, Margaret Thatcher was elected first showing the swing back to conservative thinking in 1979. Reagan was elected in America in 1980 following that same trend.
The free press and all our real security from the rise of the evil empire within are gone. During the Gulf War, Japan was criticized for not sending their troops, only money. Millions were protesting political moves to change their constitution to allow troops to move beyond 200 miles from their shore. What the people feared most, was that the military would rise again and take control of their government. They did not blame the USA for bombing Japan, they blamed their military for seizing control of the government and emperor. They understood the darkest enemy comes from within. It looks like America must be taught this same lesson and the Japanese. Germans, Chinese, and Russians all were compelled to learn with the cost of so much blood..
